“ I can honestly say your products are at least 25% better than (that other brand). And I’m a Kiwi. Not to mentioned feeling better about Fiji production and the fact that your cuts fit me better. The weaves are also finer and feel softer. Good on you and please share this with your team. I love supporting you! Heaps good.”
The tee is great, very comfortable. Love the colour (coral) and have worn it a lot since receiving. Look forward to ordering more.
Okay, this sounds gross but... I wear the 1 pair of socks in my Doc Martin boots every day for work and then, I wear the same pair on Saturday for my morning Parkrun and then again for my afternoon sport. I just air them every night and they are good to go, absolutely no smell. Whatsoever. They are so good.
so comfy, true to size and warm. highly recommend. I wear them by themselves and get compliments how nice they look. Highly recommend
Do yourself a favour and invest in these. Walked over 300kms in 2 weeks and these were 'gold'. Comfortable. Quick drying. Lightweight. If you're doing hot and sweaty, or freezing cold (I did both over 300kms over mountains and valleys) these are your lifesavers. The t-shirt ... another 'gold' .
This is the second pair of these leggings I have bought because I wanted to have 'a pair and a spare'! They are so comfortable, so warm, yet because of the wool content they allow my body to breathe and not overheat. I have worn them for running, hiking and putting on after a long run and when I just need to relax and feel comfortable after work. Highly recommend them.
This was my first merino wool shirt, I'm about 5"9 and 75kg and size large fits me good, before I ramble on too much I'll just say it's awesome and has become my go-to shirt and would definitely recommend it, it's great at regulating body temp and keeping you warm. I wear it under an Arcteryx atom Lt when cold and just by itself when mild.
It was hard to know what to expect in regards to the feel of merino wool having not worn other shirts before and I suppose it would vary person to person considering everyone's skin is different. For me when first put on for the first minute or so there's a slight scratchy feel to it ( not itchy ) then it's as if my skin adjusts to the wool and it's just like wearing a normal shirt.
I have since bought two merino shirts on sale at Kathmandu I knew the quality wouldnt be as good but I was willing to gamble and see for myself.
The Kathmandu shirts to me are itchy and stay that way throughout the day, it's bearable but definitely not comfortable and aren't even in the same league as the Io merino shirt.
I'll round up by saying you usually get what you pay for and for my next shirt I'll definitely be buying another one from here.
Cheers.
Love the fit, the long body, the thumb loops, the ability to regulate temp with the zip... and of course the softness, comfortability and warmth... so good. My second altitude, my first zip... I'm sure there'll be more. And customer service is first rate too!
Great shirt, performs well in a range of temperatures. Comfortable through long events and looks good
Got my Keystone sort a week ago and it's so hard to take it off in this cold weather! Thank you for an excellent product iomerino!
Having tried almost every option to solve the dreaded chafing issue on long runs, I bit the bullet and grabbed a pair of these. Why didn’t I do this years ago? 50+km run and no issues what so ever. Highly recommend!!
Light weight but surprisingly warm, love the colours, have had lots of comments since I brought it, will definitely be getting some more.
So comfy, no itches, the first pairs I bought lasted winters for 8? years, so also durable! Thanks I/O!!
These are so good that I now own 3 of them. They are my go to hoodie for everything from relaxing at home to pre and post events. Buy one of these and you won’t look back.
Just the biggest thankyou for your products- T-shirt and mongrel longsleeve. They totally proved money well spent during my 9hrs 45 mins of cold and wet weather during yesterday’s Cleland 50! As a beginner, and becoming injured during the race, I had to walk/ jog the final 25kms. I noticed I didn’t actually feel wet for quite a while during the start of the rain, and then when it did stop my clothes seemed to dry out quickly. At my last aid point I put on my iomerino socks, which was such a welcome relief. Love your products- I’m such a convert now. You just don’t realise their worth until you’re under pressure from the weather! x
Socks are special, they wrap your most valuable asset when you are hard at it. Whether it be on the tools,on the trails, on the bike or on the hike - if your feet aren't happy, you are not happy. I honestly can't remember when I purchased my first pair of IO socks - I'll guess about 4 years ago. I've run Marathons in the them, hiked more km's than a wandering camel and dug more holes than a wombat! Not one hole in those socks, not one blister and most importantly - not one comment from the other half when I leave them on the bedroom floor cause your feet don't stink! I've just purchased my first pair of the hiking version and OMG - putting on these socks is like a footgasm - it just feels right, they hug the foot, they don't crawl down, they don't smell, they feel like a second skin. Throw out every other sock you own - do it!
I am blessed to be as bald as a badger and I live in the Adelaide Hills so I am a very discerning reviewer of beanies - I own 8 beanies. My IO beanie is, without any doubt, THE best beanie I own. Last year I purchased a lovely Alpaca beanie for a much higher price and although it is a good beanie, it does not compare to my IO beanie. The thing about IO products is that they do what they are meant to do - they are the most effective brand of merino clothing I have purchased. There are other merino products, there are cheaper merino products - but there are none better than IO Merino. You get what you pay for so if you want a quality product and great service, spend a little extra, support an Aussie business and purchase an IO Merino product.
Exceeds expectations again. Great fit, super comfortable, light and instantly warm. What more can I say?
I bought these for my husband who thinks they are great. He finds them super comfortable to wear, quick drying and there is no chafing!
Have worn both tops for running & tennis. Love the colours & they are soft, comfortable & wash & wear well.
After buying couple of Altitude Crew Tops (and loving them) I've added the Altitude Tank to my Cycling Attire ... same Great Fit, Long Body Length, Comfort and Great Design as the Crew Tops ... without the arms ... Love It
All I expected light warm durable with reliable zip second vest I’ve had old one still going strong.
If your looking for a Natural Fibre Skull Cap for Winter ... Look no more ... Excellent IoMerino !
This is my first purchase from ioMerino. I went with bust size since that’s the biggest part of me (!!) regardless of other measurements. Perfect fit.
Comfy. Warm. Fun.
Hit the trails in winter = worth every cent!
Purchased during the week for hiking and instantly knew from the feel that these were high quaility leggings. I was super impressed by the speedy delivery too. This weekend I wore them hiking over two days in temps around 13 degrees. The first day there was light intermittent rain and strong, cold coastal wind. They kept me warm and dry. I think they will be perfect leggings to wear during cooler weather hikes, but in the evenings when I am not moving I will need to pop on an extra layer but that’s to be expected. They are comfortable (not scratchy and seams are comfy) and I followed the size guide to get the right fit and they are perfect (although I am on the shorter side so there is some extra length in the legs, but not extreme). I love the high waist as they keep my lower back covered and they stay put. I am so pleased I found this brand and I would definitely purchase a second...possibly third pair as I feel the cold and I think these will be toasty leggings with boots and winter skirts. Thank you ioMerino for making an amazing product! Highly recommended!!
This is my second purchase of this product. Last years was worn to death- running, kayaking, yoga...you name it. Functional and comfortable. Keeps its shape wash after wash.
This vest ticks all the boxes for me. So warm whilst leaving arms free to be active. I will be living in this over winter. Best thing? No swishing sounds on movement as with other vests but keeps you warm even when it gets damp.
another item in my merino collection, this company does everything right, very high quality clothing & realistic price. Love your work iMerino.
Love my Universal Tee - bought the port-marle colour. Fits well and is super soft, very comfortable to wear.
I am a massive fan of ioMerino products. I don't know how I ever travelled without them! I already own one of the Ultra Tees. It has actually become my cycling shirt. I recently wore it on a 6 day cycling trip in New Zealand. I wore it every day, did not wash it, and at the end it still DID NOT SMELL! Amazing! And it was so comfortable even in very sweaty conditions. I love the Ultra Tee so much that I bought one for my friend who does not as yet own any merino clothing. She immediately wore it on a 2 day hike and loved it. I absolutely recommend the Ultra Tee for comfort and non-smelliness!
I am a big fan of merino wool for cycling in cooler weather. I was initially sceptical about how well the jersey would handle the cooler weather given its lighter weight compared to other wool cycling jerseys, and have been pleasantly surprised . Extremely comfortable and fits well with the added bonus of lack of odour smell after a long ride (wool is extremely good in this regard).
Looking forward to trying on those very cold mornings.
I love this as a warm underlayer and very flattering tank, form-fitting top I have enjoyed wearing on warmer days. The photos show it exactly as it is. As you can see, it is slightly see-through in the torso which I quite like as I can have coloured crop tops underneath for subtle brightness, or other layers paired with it. As usual with IO stuff, it doesn't seem capable of smelling bad and doesn't have anywhere near the washing needs of tech fabrics (which I vow not to wear anymore once I've replaced my wardrobe with merino). If I sweat in it, all I can smell is a bit like Woolmix... Great top!
I love this top and wear it everywhere - I have it in blue, and its my favourite color of all merino wear in the cupboard (and I have a fair bit on hand!). Beautifully warm, beautifully breathable. Genuinely smells like Woolmix when I run and sweat in it - doesn't seem to ever have an odor. Rarely need to wash because it airs out just as well. Stoked!
I'm so happy with all my Merino gear. I love the colours, fit & ease of wearing & am looking forward to the cooler months for trying out my new items.
Super comfy and certainly noticed better temperature regulation when wearing for running or even with dresses on warm days
why wouldn’t you get one of these tops.....they don’t stink and can be worn for days without washing (ideal for multi day hikes), the fabric breathes so it’s comfortable especially in the heat and the best bit is the flat seams that don’t cause chafing. If you are looking for comfort this bra won’t let you down for low impact activities.
I bought boxers and singlet tops for my husband who will turn 80 later
this year who has a blood disease and feels the cold we were on holidays
during the very hot spell and even temperature 107.2 degrees he felt good
,my son recommended your sporting clothing as he also uses your gear as he
is a runner. These keep my husband warm in winter and cool in summer as my
son said they would. I love how they wash so well and he wears a clean
change daily so they are constantly in the wash and they look and feel
great . Ok they are quite a bit more expensive than Bonds underwear but
after six months of using Io merino as underwear we are happy with the
outcome.
I wear my Altitude Crew as a base layer biking in cold New England winter weather. Keeps me warm, wicks sweat away and when I'm riding I just forget about it, which is the best thing I can say about a base layer. I'm comfortable, warm and not sweaty. The quality of the workmanship is excellent, and the thingies that fit around my thumb keep the sleeves pulled down over my wrists and inside my gloves so my wrists stay warm. Also, the sleeves are quite long, which is ideal for cyclists.
It's just as good as promised. It's warm when used as a baselayer, even in subzero temperatures, and I use it as a normal Tee when the weather is nice and it keeps me cool. It's as light as it gets, I recommend. Will probably order others some time.
Only had them a couple of weeks but wish I had been using them long ago. The usual chaffing issues in erm sensitive parts associated with running in hot weather have just gone away. I have found them comfortable and gotten used to wearing them very quickly.
I saw a longevity comment in another review and I’ll just say that all of my IOMerino gear is hand washed - I look after this gear pretty carefully but it gets some serious wear and I haven’t had any wear issues with any of the IOM range.

While Merino is an amazing natural fibre, not all Merino fabrics are created equal. At ioMerino, we make our own fabrics, using only the best quality fibres, and to very specific specifications that make the most of the natural benefits of Merino. All of them are 'Merino rich’. No cheap blends passed off as Merino. No cheaper scratchy fibres or synthetic substitutes to save money. No unethical production. And each fabric is made for a specific purpose. So if you see something with a small amount of elastase or nylon added, you can be sure it absolutely needs to be there to enhance the natural stretch and durability.
It took every bit of our 140 years of experience in the wool industry to perfect our fabrics, but we think you’ll agree the end result was more than worth the effort.
