We actually used to sell our clothes through stores all across North America and Canada. But by the time the freight companies got paid, the warehouses got paid, the distributors got paid, the retailers got paid… well, you get the picture. That’s a lot of people who need to get paid before you get your clothes.
So now, while we sell through a few retailers here in Australia, to keep the quality up and the prices down, it’s online only for everyone else.
Everyone knows Merino clothing is one of the best possible things to wear in the outdoors - especially when it’s cold. But here’s the problem: the fabric is more expensive to make than most of the alternatives. And it’s more difficult to work with than other fabrics as well. To make our clothes as affordable as possible, we had a choice to make: use lower quality Merino or cheaper blends, or find a better, more efficient way to sell. No prizes for guessing which way we went. Our business is family owned, and there’s no way we want our name on products that we wouldn’t wear ourselves. So it’s nothing but the finest quality for us.
We know there’s one small problem with online only though, and that’s a lot of you love to touch and feel your clothes before you buy them. So here’s what we’re going to do about that: a 60 day Absolute Love Guarantee. That’s 60 days to wear what you buy. Not just try it on, but actually wear it out and about doing what you do. Wear it, wash it, wear it again. Ride in it. Run in it. Climb in it. Paddle in it. Hike in it. Literally anything in it for 60 days. And if you don’t love it, just return it for a full, no questions asked refund. That’s how confident we are.
Still not convinced? Well, we recently switched up our website and you now get charged in Australian Dollars which means thanks to the strength of your dollar, everything’s around 40% cheaper than it was last winter. By the time we express ship it to you from Australia, we won’t be making massive margins, but we know you’ll be warm and comfortable… and back for more. Or that you’ll tell your friends. And we’re good with that.
We may play unusual sports and have some pretty weird animals - and some dangerous ones as well - here in Australia, but our Merino wool is considered the best in the world. And we’d know because our family have been in the wool business for six generations. So you’re not buying off some random company, but from a family who’s lived and breathed wool for more years than you’ve had campfire dinners. And because we’re Aussies, you know we love being warm. When you wear our layers in even the coldest, harshest environments, we guarantee you’ll feel as warm and comfortable as we do when we’re in the backyard having a BBQ on a warm summer’s day. It’s actually one of the secrets to our clothing - it contains genuine Australian sunshine.
Our stuff is famous for keeping you warm when it's cold, but can also keep you comfortable in milder weather, so whatever mother nature is doing where you are now, don’t get caught without something awesome to wear - let us send a little piece of Australian sunshine your way now so you’re ready to go. And if you don’t love it as much as we say you will, just send it back for a full refund. No tricks. No catches. To find out more about our range, click here. Or shop Men’s or Women’s now.

While Merino is an amazing natural fibre, not all Merino fabrics are created equal. At ioMerino, we make our own fabrics, using only the best quality fibres, and to very specific specifications that make the most of the natural benefits of Merino. All of them are 'Merino rich’. No cheap blends passed off as Merino. No cheaper scratchy fibres or synthetic substitutes to save money. No unethical production. And each fabric is made for a specific purpose. So if you see something with a small amount of elastase or nylon added, you can be sure it absolutely needs to be there to enhance the natural stretch and durability.
It took every bit of our 140 years of experience in the wool industry to perfect our fabrics, but we think you’ll agree the end result was more than worth the effort.
