    The Women's Altitude Racer Back Tank is a great all-rounder; ideal for wearing on its own in warm climates as it's light and breathable, perfect for hiking, running, yoga and working out. For the in-between seasons and cold weather, wear this singlet as part of a layering system for additional and important core warmth.

    Tag-free, flatlock stitching and raglan sleeves help eliminate chafe and maximise comfort. Pair your Tank with the Altitude Crop Top for the perfect fit. 

    Why you’d buy this: You like your stuff to fit nice and close to your body whether you wear it on its own, or under another layer and don’t want any extra bulk or bunching. You might also want a bit of extra length which this one gives you. It’s super soft and comfy, and 96% merino so it’s super natural which means almost no microplastic issues when you wash it or landfill when you’ve finished with it.

    As with all our clothes, the merino delivers natural temperature regulation, breathability, moisture wicking and odour resistance.

    Originally designed to be worn as a base layer, (is usually underneath something else), this is a ‘contact fit’ layer so will hug your body. If you don’t want it to fit, feel or look like a second skin, you might try another style, or go up a size, but please note: even going up a size will fit quite close to your body because of the fabric and cut.

    Excellent singlet, but runs small

    Excellent sports singlet. I loved it so much I went back and bought it in several colours.
    However, it runs quite small. I normally wear a M or L in womens clothes, and I had to get the XL in this singlet.
    Once I sorted out the sizing I was really happy with it.

    Lovely fit. Soft fabric. Smooth flatlock seams. And it's even (just) long enough for my extremely long torso. I'm 184cm tall, and all torso :).

    Great quality tank

    I purchased to use as a base layer for cycling. Excellent quality and fit, I’m 5”1 and 45 kg and purchased the xs.
    I have very sensitive skin and have found ioMerino to be very soft and not an ounce of itch which is awesome.

    Perfect base layer for hiking

    Perfect base layer for hiking underneath my ioMerino long sleeve t-shirt. Keeps me warm in cold weather but I don’t overheat once I warm up hiking. Lightweight, soft, comfortable and easy to move in and it doesn’t ride up under my top layer when carrying a backpack.

    Love this singlet! I bought three which I cycle through, wearing one every day, no matter what I'm doing. Lovely soft fabric, but with a perfect snug fit. Racer back design is perfect for those of us with narrow shoulders and are sick of singlet straps sliding off shoulders.

    The BEST merino tank

    To say I was thrilled to discover these tank tops by ioMerino is an understatement! I wear singlets year round and had gotten to a point a few months ago where all my old faithfuls were on their last legs. After a LOT of research online, I settled on 3 of these (plus I also purchased the crop/bra tops) and I hsve not looked back!! They are so light and comfortable... I hardly notice I’ve got them on. I do find they roll a bit sometimes and tend to cooperate a bit better when tucked in, but that is a minor point.
    Added to this I received fantastic customer service/support when I discovered a small hole at the bottom near a seam when first washing one of my tops. ioMerino made the whole process so simple.... and sent me a replacement quick sticks. 3 tanks are enough to have on rotation, but now I’ve seen the new hot pink colour I’m seriously considering getting another!!!

    Great top, a little short

    I love this top, I just wish it was longer. I am tall, and a common problem I find with singlets is that they are too short and come untucked (especially when cycling). Dreaming of a long tank.

    This is my go-to tank for the gym and hot yoga, as well as layering under everything in winter. basically, I dont take it off. 11/10 tank top. Highly recommend. Great flattering fit and style.

    I own several merino tanks from different companies, and this is my favorite. Soft, great stretch, sexy fit. I've had mine over a year and wear it weekly or more, with no pilling, holes, or loss of shape. Note for I/O crew: description/photo should mention/show that it's a racer-back tank and fits perfectly over the I/O "crop top" (which is actually a a great sports bra).
