I have to say i love my pinnacle, I wear it while riding as its warm and light but doesn't over heat like synthetics might. What i didn't realise is how amazing it is in the rain - I got caught riding in a real down pour, normally this means i'm cold and heavy as well but not now. I was wet, sure. but the wool kept me warm and I was able to finish without discomfort. Awesome - Thanks IO
Fantastic shirt, worked really well in cool to cold conditions. Fit was pretty true I think.
Started with a medium in the mint (which is quite bright, a nice colour- almost an apple green) and also added a small in the silver pine. Size wise my measurements are at the top of the range for small, so I wasn’t sure- and both sizes work well depending if I want a looser or more fitted outfit. Even though the medium is technically too big (from the chart) because it’s a lovely soft fabric and hangs well, it doesn’t look it at all. I also think the length is good, hits at the hips- some other merino tshirt brands are really are long. I tried the pink too but it was a slightly salmony shade which didn’t suit me, and also a little see through (black bra under showed through) so I returned. These will be great travel tshirts as they’re smart enough for around the city but functional for hiking and gym. Tested the whole ‘don’t need to wash merino often’ by wearing it daily for a 4 day city trip (although I didn’t get sweaty) and it was totally fine, still fresh- a cotton tshirt would have started to smell. Will buy more, hopefully at some stage there might be some more bright colours in the range!
Happy with the purchase. Light weight and you actually forget you have it on. Keeps the noggin warm so no complaints.
