Cyclists, we know you love your Lycra, but trust us, you’re going to love this Merino Wool Cycling Jersey even more. We spent almost two years developing this jersey to make sure it was everything you’d want it to be, and trust us, it is. (Because the big boss is a mad cyclist and we weren’t allowed to sell it til he was happy wearing it himself!)

The most important thing to know about this jersey is the fabric: it’s our latest, greatest, finest, most comfortable and durable Merino fabric ever. It’ll keep you warm when it’s cool, and if you or the weather warms up, it’ll help keep you comfortable for longer and stop you from over heating like you can in stinky synthetics. (It’s also odour resistant so another bonus for you and those around you!)

If you haven't worn our gear before you'll be amazed by the natural breathability, temperature regulation and odour resistance. It’s so soft we guarantee it will be chafe-free on even the longest, toughest rides. Whether it’s raining or you’re sweating up a storm, it will stay comfortable even when it’s wet.

Tag-free labels, flat lock stitching and raglan sleeves help eliminate chafe and maximise comfort. Rear pockets for handy storage, silicon grip hem to stop it riding up, with a race fit making it perfect for an easy cruise or down in the drops worn with bib shorts or knicks. Easy care ‘wash and wear’ fabric.

Classic cycling jersey close to body race fit layer designed to be worn with bib shorts or nicks.

Excellent winter addition

Tested it out with a base layer riding in down to 4-5 degrees. All the benefit of breathable wool that stays warm when damp. A really good quality addition to the winter kit.

Best merino yet

I've been riding in merino jerseys for several years. These are the best I've worn yet. Super comfy, xlnt fit (I'm 180cm and 73kg, size M), very warm, and no stench.

Super to hear! I bought my husband one a couple of months ago and he now wont wear anything else to ride in!

Surprising

I am a big fan of merino wool for cycling in cooler weather. I was initially sceptical about how well the jersey would handle the cooler weather given its lighter weight compared to other wool cycling jerseys, and have been pleasantly surprised . Extremely comfortable and fits well with the added bonus of lack of odour smell after a long ride (wool is extremely good in this regard).

Looking forward to trying on those very cold mornings.

Comfortable

Like all products in the IO Merino range the jersey is extremely comfortable. There are no annoying tags or stitching that can irritate on a long ride. Rear pockets are nice and deep. I've worn it a few times on warm days (32 degrees Celsius) and found it's wicking properties and breath-ability to be great. very light weight

I don’t normally do reviews but I am very happy to give my feelings in these garments

I am a roadie & I ride regularly with the Vic Ave group in Melbourne. I wanted to try a merino fabric jersey as I am a heavy sweater. It feels like my body can breath and release moisture, it seems to help regulate my body temperature better. It is light weight, fits me really well and almost feels like I am not wearing anything - The fabric used is very comfortable and ultra soft on the skin. It has a bit of a retro look which I like. This merino jersey works very well for me. I also use their Altitude base layer tees & tanks for under garments which I rate highly, for similar reasons.

Fabric Guide

While Merino is an amazing natural fibre, not all Merino fabrics are created equal. At ioMerino, we make our own fabrics, using only the best quality fibres, and to very specific specifications that make the most of the natural benefits of Merino. All of them are 'Merino rich’. No cheap blends passed off as Merino. No cheaper scratchy fibres or synthetic substitutes to save money. No unethical production. And each fabric is made for a specific purpose. So if you see something with a small amount of elastase or nylon added, you can be sure it absolutely needs to be there to enhance the natural stretch and durability.

It took every bit of our 140 years of experience in the wool industry to perfect our fabrics, but we think you’ll agree the end result was more than worth the effort.

Ethically Made. Ethically Sourced. Perfectly Natural.
