Socks Schmocks

Socks are special, they wrap your most valuable asset when you are hard at it. Whether it be on the tools,on the trails, on the bike or on the hike - if your feet aren't happy, you are not happy. I honestly can't remember when I purchased my first pair of IO socks - I'll guess about 4 years ago. I've run Marathons in the them, hiked more km's than a wandering camel and dug more holes than a wombat! Not one hole in those socks, not one blister and most importantly - not one comment from the other half when I leave them on the bedroom floor cause your feet don't stink! I've just purchased my first pair of the hiking version and OMG - putting on these socks is like a footgasm - it just feels right, they hug the foot, they don't crawl down, they don't smell, they feel like a second skin. Throw out every other sock you own - do it!

Thanks for the awesome review, Simon! We couldn't have put it better ourselves. We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and we’re happy to hear we hit the mark for you. Footgasm, no stinky feet and a happy partner. Sounds like an all round winner to me. Move over old socks, ioMerino socks are taking over.

Go to Socks

I just picked up a pair of these on the weekend and they are just amazing. All the rest of my socks are on notice. 3 days so far and they don't smell at all. I own the other ioMerino socks which I wear for running, but I'm putting these in my day-to-day wear category. I can't wait to get my hands on a few more pairs.

Move over old socks, the ioMerino Hiking socks are taking over! Glad to hear you've found your new day-to-day and running socks all in one! Enjoy!

Great socks. Super comfy.

I'm one of those people who believe your socks are at least as important as your shoes/boots - maybe even more so. So I'm pretty fussy when it comes to my socks. I've just worn these for about 12 hours straight, in the heat of the Cambodian jungle. No idea how many KMs I covered, but it was a lot and these socks were awesome. I wore them with brand new Merrell Goretex boots (didn't have a chance to break them in) and wouldn't usually wear Goretex in the 38c/97f heat either, but these socks kept my feet seriously comfy. No blisters, no rub from the boots, no hot spots, no discomfort at all. I'd say they're also the perfect thickness... not too thick for warm weather like most of my Explorer socks, and thick enough to give great cushioning and keep your feet warm when it's cold. Two big thumbs, or maybe that should be two big toes, up from me. Very impressed. Oh, and I'm on day 3 of wearing them after also wearing them for about 12 hours straight on the plane trips/journey over, and still no stink!

(I am an ioMerino Outsider but this was an unsolicited review. I literally wore them yesterday and they were impressive enough for me to WANT to review them!)

Fabric Guide

While Merino is an amazing natural fibre, not all Merino fabrics are created equal. At ioMerino, we make our own fabrics, using only the best quality fibres, and to very specific specifications that make the most of the natural benefits of Merino. All of them are 'Merino rich’. No cheap blends passed off as Merino. No cheaper scratchy fibres or synthetic substitutes to save money. No unethical production. And each fabric is made for a specific purpose. So if you see something with a small amount of elastase or nylon added, you can be sure it absolutely needs to be there to enhance the natural stretch and durability.

It took every bit of our 140 years of experience in the wool industry to perfect our fabrics, but we think you’ll agree the end result was more than worth the effort.

Ethically Made. Ethically Sourced. Perfectly Natural.
