The Women’s Altitude Zip Base Layer thermal takes natural temperature regulation to a whole new level. It is the perfect ‘go to’ thermal layer for just about any adventure, especially if you’re expecting to hit a range of temperatures. Zip down when it’s mild, zip up and thumb loops on when the temperature drops.  The high collar also offers an extra level of warmth beyond the Women's Altitude Crew Neck Base Layer version of this top.

Flatlock stitching, raglan sleeves and tag free to eliminate chafe and maximize comfort. The drop back hem and extra body length is designed for tucking into your outer layers. Thumb loops keep your hands warm and stop your sleeves riding up when layering.

This Base Layer Thermal top is the perfect combination of performance, warmth and comfort.

Ultra Trail Australia mandatory gear approved thermals.

Designed to be worn as a body tight ‘contact fit’ layer.

Drop back hem and extra length in body.

Love it

I love my 2 new tops. I'm a hiker so also appreciate how light they are. The sizes are very small. Medium, which I always wear, is very tight. 2nd top I bought a large and that is perfect. Good for people to be aware of.

Great running top for cooler weather

Great temperature regulation for autumn running and cool down when wet with sweat or rain. unzipping neck and pushing up sleeves really effective for cooling down when sun comes out. I tried not washing it for a week and it really did not smell bad. The only thing I would change would be to go up a size to M next time as the neck is quite firm when zipped up, but otherwise a great fit. Maybe

So comfortable

I can't believe how great this top is. The merino is so thin and warm but not too hot to run in. Can regulate the warmth easily by zipping up and tucking hands in. The fabric is soft and comfortable to wear and it doesn't get smelly after a sweaty run. Love it!

Fabric Guide

While Merino is an amazing natural fibre, not all Merino fabrics are created equal. At ioMerino, we make our own fabrics, using only the best quality fibres, and to very specific specifications that make the most of the natural benefits of Merino. All of them are 'Merino rich’. No cheap blends passed off as Merino. No cheaper scratchy fibres or synthetic substitutes to save money. No unethical production. And each fabric is made for a specific purpose. So if you see something with a small amount of elastase or nylon added, you can be sure it absolutely needs to be there to enhance the natural stretch and durability.

It took every bit of our 140 years of experience in the wool industry to perfect our fabrics, but we think you’ll agree the end result was more than worth the effort.

Ethically Made. Ethically Sourced. Perfectly Natural.
