What To Wear In 'In-Between' Weather

If you want to stay comfortable for longer when it’s somewhere in between hot and cold, or possibly goes from one to the other and maybe even back again, we’ve got the perfect ‘in between’ suggestions for you to go with.

Women's Celsius Tee
Men's Celsius Tee

When you know it’s going to be warm from start to finish, go with Celsius - our lightest, most breathable fabric ever. It’s the flagship range in our Summerino Collection. Super soft and smooth, but also super cool and odour-resistant.

Men's Altitude Tee

We know what you’re probably thinking, “They’re just T-shirts!”. But nope, they’re merino T-shirts and there’s a difference. A big difference. Unlike Stinky Synthetics or Killer Cotton, when you go with an ioMerino T-shirt you get the ultimate in core temperature regulation. When it’s cold, they’ll keep your core warm, and if it warms up, they’ll breathe and help you stay comfortable for longer.

Newton Arm Warmers Newton Arm Warmers

Not sure whether to wear a T-shirt or long sleeve top? Go with our Newton Arm Warmers. They’re 76% super fine Australian Merino so don’t just give you the versatility of a 'removable sleeve', they give you all the high performance benefits of Merino: natural, temperature regulating, breathable, comfortable and odour-resistant.

Altitude Zip Top Women's Ultra Zip

We do regular crew tops, but if you’re really looking for a bit of extra versatility, go with the zip. You might not think it would make all that much difference, but the higher collar delivers a lot of extra warmth in cold weather and stops cool air sneaking in. And if it warms up, dropping the zip really let’s you catch some extra air over and above the natural breathability of the natural merino fabric. So zip up/sleeves down when it’s cool, and zip down/sleeves up when it’s warm and you’re good to go!

And let’s not forget a few optional extras that can make a real difference. Soft, temperature regulating, moisture wicking, breathable undies that keep some of your most important bits comfortable, a neck warmer to keep your neck/head/ears warm is pretty much a must-have accessory, and our lightweight gloves to keep your pinkies warm but are small and light enough to stash if you need to take them off.

Fabric Guide

While Merino is an amazing natural fibre, not all Merino fabrics are created equal. At ioMerino, we make our own fabrics, using only the best quality fibres, and to very specific specifications that make the most of the natural benefits of Merino. All of them are 'Merino rich’. No cheap blends passed off as Merino. No cheaper scratchy fibres or synthetic substitutes to save money. No unethical production. And each fabric is made for a specific purpose. So if you see something with a small amount of elastase or nylon added, you can be sure it absolutely needs to be there to enhance the natural stretch and durability.

It took every bit of our 140 years of experience in the wool industry to perfect our fabrics, but we think you’ll agree the end result was more than worth the effort.

Ethically Made. Ethically Sourced. Perfectly Natural.
