Weekend Hike in Colorado

By ioMerino Outsider Heidi

"I had my long sleeve Outsider shirt stashed in my running pack for over 60 miles this past weekend. It was perfect... even though I never actually put it on. I was running a race in the San Juan mountains of Colorado and the weather there can be very unpredictable. In an effort to be prepared for anything I had a beefy rain jacket in my running pack, alongside my long sleeve ioMerino shirt which was squished into a plastic bag to make sure it stayed dry. Lucky for me the weather was amazing and I never needed my extra layers or my rain gear. However, it was great having them in my pack... light enough to ignore, but just enough to offer up reassurance.

I have another 100km race coming up next month and some big travel adventures on deck, including a road trip through the southwest of the USA where we'll be hitting up national parks. I know my ioMerino will be coming with me - those deserts get cold at night in October!"
