Altitude Range - 'Contact Fit'

The Altitude range is designed to be a tight, but comfortable, fit. If you size up it will give you a little extra room, but it will still hug your body as that’s what this range is designed to do. If you want a looser fit consider the Ultra or Universal range.

We called this the Stripey range, because, ah, obviously. Then we gave it its very own section because even though it’s made from the same super comfortable fabric as the rest of the Altitude range, when we make the stripey fabric it fits and feels a stripey bit different. Still soft, still comfortable, still true-ish to size, but if you’re used to our other Altitude tops, this one will feel about half a size smaller. Up to you whether you go up a size based on how you want it to fit and feel.

What’s not different is everything else. It’s still designed to fit close to your body for maximum performance. Tight but soft, with plenty of give for extra comfort. The Altitude 'Stripey' Tee is the ‘go to’ thermal layer for just about any adventure and our all-time best seller. It’s the perfect thermal layer for core warmth when you’re layering up, yet versatile enough to be worn on its own in milder conditions.

(For a more relaxed fit try our Ultra or Universal T-shirts.)

Tag free, flatlock stitching, raglan sleeves eliminate chafe and maximize comfort.

Ultra Trail Australia mandatory gear approved thermals.

Designed to be worn as a body tight ‘contact fit’ layer.

Regular body length, shorter than the Altitude long sleeve styles.

Model 1 is 5'10" and wears size small in Stripe.

Model 2 is 5'5" and wears size medium in Stripe.

Great quality t

Love your gear, great quality and excellent fit. I’m 5”1 and 45kg and purchased the xs. Sometimes have trouble buying smaller sizing in merino so very glad I have found iomerino. Love the red stitching.

Not your average tee

I love the red stitching detail on the stripey tee. My only request would be to make the neck slightly less scooped, those of over 60 have more to hide in that area!

Fabric Guide

While Merino is an amazing natural fibre, not all Merino fabrics are created equal. At ioMerino, we make our own fabrics, using only the best quality fibres, and to very specific specifications that make the most of the natural benefits of Merino. All of them are 'Merino rich’. No cheap blends passed off as Merino. No cheaper scratchy fibres or synthetic substitutes to save money. No unethical production. And each fabric is made for a specific purpose. So if you see something with a small amount of elastase or nylon added, you can be sure it absolutely needs to be there to enhance the natural stretch and durability.

It took every bit of our 140 years of experience in the wool industry to perfect our fabrics, but we think you’ll agree the end result was more than worth the effort.

Ethically Made. Ethically Sourced. Perfectly Natural.
