What would an Australian company know about cold weather?

December 30, 2018

What would an Australian company know about cold weather?

So when it comes to knowing a thing or two about clothes that can keep you warm, it turns out we know quite a bit. You see, we’re used to being warm and comfortable here Down Under, so when it does get a little chilly, or we go somewhere cold, we still like to stay warm and comfortable.

Which explains why we put 140+ years of wool know-how and expertise into creating cold weather clothing that makes you feel like you’re somewhere warm. Yes, it’s premium Aussie Merino. But our real secret is the good old Aussie sunshine we blend into each and every garment we make.

Whether you're on the trails or the slopes or the mountains, on foot, on skis or on your bike, we've got a layer that will help you stay so warm and comfortable, you'll feel more like you're laying in the sun on one of our best Aussie beaches. And we don't use just any old fabric, we create our own, using nothing but the finest merino wool, knitted into nothing but the finest fabrics. All ethically and sustainably made. Natural fibres. No sweatshops. Environmentally friendly manufacturing. So you can feel as good about buying them, as you do wearing them.

If you want to flip Mother Nature the bird next time she dishes up some truly awful, cold, miserable weather, get yourself into some all natural, Australian, sunshine-inspired ioMerino. You can find the gear that's best for your favourite activity right here

Fabric Guide

While Merino is an amazing natural fibre, not all Merino fabrics are created equal. At ioMerino, we make our own fabrics, using only the best quality fibres, and to very specific specifications that make the most of the natural benefits of Merino. All of them are 'Merino rich’. No cheap blends passed off as Merino. No cheaper scratchy fibres or synthetic substitutes to save money. No unethical production. And each fabric is made for a specific purpose. So if you see something with a small amount of elastase or nylon added, you can be sure it absolutely needs to be there to enhance the natural stretch and durability.

It took every bit of our 140 years of experience in the wool industry to perfect our fabrics, but we think you’ll agree the end result was more than worth the effort.

Ethically Made. Ethically Sourced. Perfectly Natural.
